How to Draw the Solar System - Let's Get Started!
Step 1
The sun is the center of our universe, but for this tutorial on how to draw the solar system, it will be drawn to the side of the picture.
This is done so we can show the planets later in the guide. Start with a curved line in the corner of the image.
Once you've drawn this round line, you can draw a jagged, pointed line along the perimeter with many points for the sun's rays.
With that, it's time for step 2 of the guide!
Step 2 -Next, draw the first three planets of the solar system
With the sun drawn, we can now start on the first planets of the solar system. At the moment we are drawing the first three planets.
In drawing these planets, we're going to use some perfect circles that can be a bit tricky to draw freehand.
There are a few tools you can use to make things easier for yourself. The best tool you can use is a drawing compass as you can use your pen or pencil to easily draw some perfect circles.
Once you have these three planets drawn as they appear in the reference image, you can draw the details for Earth by drawing some visible continents.
Step 3 -Draw two more planets for the solar system
We will add two more planets in this part ofour guide to drawinga solar system. First you can draw another fairly small circle for the next planet.
The planet after that will be Saturn, and that planet looks a little different because of the large ring that orbits it.
Just draw a big circle with two gaps on the side and then finish it off with the rings with some rounded lines. Once it looks like our reference image, let's move on to Part 4!
Step 4 -Now draw another planet with more details

Step 5 –Complete the final details of your solar system drawing

Two of these will be quite large, with one having a different ring around it. Finally, we will finish with another small circle.

Once you've chosen the colors you want to use, you can also have fun choosing what art mediums and tools you use to bring them to life.
A fun idea would be to wash the background with black paint and use lighter media for the planets themselves.
